My Money Week

With competitions, teaching resources and much, much, more – pfeg’s My Money Week kicks off on the 9th June, educating hundreds of thousands of students about money matters. This year, pfeg set IE the challenge of creating a series of four innovative films to promote the event…

Now in its sixth year, My Money Week is a national activity week, run by the UK’s leading financial education charity pfeg – aiming to educate both primary and secondary students in financial matters. The event is a fantastic opportunity for parents and teachers to engage all young people in learning about money – and with an exciting range of free resources and activities, teachers can use the assets to put together sessions for one lesson, or even a whole week.

For 2014’s My Money Week, pfeg asked IE to develop a suite of four short training films to inspire teachers to plan and deliver a successful My Money Week. The films, ‘What is My Money Week?’, ‘This year's resources’, ‘Have you done My Money Week before?’ and ‘How to leave a legacy’, were filmed against a green screen backdrop, where we were able to place our hosts in the weird and wonderful illustrated world of pfeg’s brand.

At IE we’re always excited to see My Money Week come around, as pfeg is one of our oldest clients and we have supported them in much of their work for the event. As part of the overall pfeg website, we developed their My Money Week microsite and created a searchable online resource bank, providing a ‘one stop-shop’ for all things relating to the project. We also crafted a stunning set of character illustrations, shortlisted for Best Use of Illustration at the Cream Awards 2013, that will again feature in this year’s resources.
