We're delighted to be joining law firm Veale Wasbrough Vizards (VWV) for a seminar all about charity brands.
In a world of increasing competition and opportunities, brands play a key role in enabling people to distinguish between options and make choices. Charity brand loyalty depends upon connecting with audiences on an emotional level – and those deep connections can best be achieved through an authentic brand that communicates the unique, distinctive essence and purpose of the organisation. This seminar will introduce you to the world of brand management, showing how brands develop, how they reflect the organisations they represent – and the perils of straying from your core DNA.
Kicking things off will be IE Brand's MD and charity brand expert Ollie Leggett, talking about the importance of brand. It’s never just about a logo. It’s about finding your voice, defining your identity and enriching the conversation you’re having with your audiences – always ensuring your charity’s core values are at the heart of everything you do. Ollie has many years of experience of working with charities to do just that.
Ollie will be followed by intellectual property specialist Frances Anderson and litigation expert Ben Holt, both of VWV. The firm works with over 900 charity clients across the UK, including Acorns Childrens' Hospice Trust, Birmingham Royal Ballet, Institute of Cancer Research and RoSPA. They will advise on how to protect your brand’s reputation through registration of trademarks, passing off law, domain name management, and other means. Finally they’ll advise on what you can do when the reputation of your brand is under threat.
Afterwards, there'll be an opportunity to network, with drinks and canapés.
It promises to be a fascinating evening, so we hope to see you there!
